Richard is an AI/ML leader with 20+ years building and scaling software businesses, including two founder exits — WebSoft/Fleetmatics (acquired by Verizon) and WealthTrack (acquired by Applied Systems, the world's largest insurance fintech). He builds AI systems hands-on rather than only advising on them: an agentic coaching platform on the Anthropic Claude Agent SDK with a multi-tenant Supabase backend, and an edtech platform for neurodiverse teens built on fine-tuned LLMs with retrieval over a private document corpus. His earlier work spanned edge AI and Computer Vision, LoRaWAN and cellular IoT, and AWS serverless architectures. Richard is also a named co-inventor on a US patent application for an AI powered road safety device.
That practical work is grounded in formal study. Richard is currently undertaking an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Limerick and already holds the internationally recognised CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) credential from the ISC2 — reflecting the security and privacy foundations that sit at the heart of responsible AI governance. He is an AIGP candidate himself, sitting the exam in July 2026, and built AIGP StudyPlan while preparing for it.
